THE boy who was brutally attacked with a hammer on Broadfield Barton is not thought to have suffered long-term injuries.
The 14-year-old, who was attacked on the shopping parade last Wednesday night, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment.
Police have since said he was released later on the same day, so his injuries are not thought to have been as serious as first thought.
