A POLICE officer was pushed down a set of stairs at a block of flats in Broadfield while going to arrest a man for failing to appear in court.
The male officer arrived at Islington House in Kensington Road at 10.45am today (Friday) to execute an arrest warrant.
As he reached the front door of the property in question two men ran out of the flat and past him. While running past him. one of them pushed the officer backwards down the stairs and caused him to break his ankle.
