A GIRL, 11, has been raped in Crawley as she walked home from school, police have revealed.
Officers are appealing for witnesses after the girl revealed that she had been raped in Pound Hill in September.
The 11-year-old was walking home from school along Balcombe Road at about 3pm.
She was taken by a man onto a footpath between Blackwater Lane and Balcombe Road.
He pushed her into the bushes where he raped her. She has only reported what happened recently.
