THE chairman of Crawley Neighbourhood Watch has been made an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.
John Wright has been given the honour after transforming his organisation into a growing force for maintaining law and order in the town.
He was inspired to do something for his community in response to a violent burglary in Ifield more than ten years ago.
He started as an area co-ordinator and soon saw the potential for working more closely with Sussex Police.
