A NORTHGATE man has been told he cannot have £2,000 returned by police because officers still believe it may have been obtained through criminal means.The cash was previously taken from Marlon Brown by police under the Proceeds of Crime Act.Once seized, officers have six months to try to prove the money was gained through crime.Sussex Police went to court to apply for an extension of another six months as they have so far been unable to prove the money was not earned legitimately.At...
