A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of being drunk on an aircraft after a flight was diverted to Gatwick Airport.
At 11.45am yesterday (May 6) Sussex Police met a Thomas Cook flight that had been travelling from Glasgow to Turkey.
A police spokesman said: "Officers arrested a 34-year-old man who was a passenger on suspicion of being drunk on an aircraft."
There were no reports of injuries or damage and the man is currently in custody for interview and further enquiries.
