A LANGLEY Green woman was conned into handing over a diamond ring for £500 in fake notes after listing it for sale on Gumtree.
The victim had posted an advert in the website and received a reply from a man who then went to her home on June 2.
The man paid for the ring with £500 in fake £20 notes and the woman did not notice until after he had left in hurry, telling her he was flying to Spain to propose to his girlfriend.
