A COFFEE shop and ice cream parlour in the town centre which only opened in January has been raided by burglars who stole a cash box.
The break-in occurred at Affogato on The Broadway overnight between July 26 and 27 and £200 was stolen.
It was followed just days later by a break-in at Subway on Gatwick Road, Manor Royal in which two safes were cut open using an angle grinder.
In that incident about £2,000 was stolen. It is unclear if the crimes are being linked at this stage.
