POLICE believe a group of residents has been trying to arrange a fight in Bewbush and have issued an order allowing them to search people in the area for weapons.
A Section 60 order has been issued, which is allowed by the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, for Bewbush.
This means a person can be stopped and searched for offensive weapons or dangerous instruments at a lower threshold of suspicion than normal.
