THE man accused of attempted murder over a hammer attack in a Tilgate street will face trial in the New Year after indicating that he intends to plead not guilty.
Jason Halliday was arrested following the incident in Ross Close on October 28.
At about 5.40pm a 51-year-old man was attacked inside one of the houses with a hammer.
He was taken to East Surrey Hospital but did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
