A "TEARFUL" pensioner has lost her independence after the valuable mobility scooters she relies on were stolen from a locked shed.
Heartless thieves gained access to two outdoor storage units at a sheltered housing scheme and stole three scooters – worth £2,900 in total – as well as walking sticks, clothes and waterproofs.
