TWO men claiming to be from the council attempted to con elderly residents in Langley Green by asking to check their water supply to then burgle them.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the attempted burglary at a home in Falcon Close on Wednesday.
At 3.10pm two men claiming to work for the council asked the elderly residents to check their water supply before going into their home. One of the men then distracted them while the other went into the other rooms.
