Armed police and paramedics were seen in Horley this afternoon.
A heavy police presence was reported on the Court Lodge estate, which comprises Court Lodge Road and the smaller roads that come off it, along with cars from South East Coast Ambulance Service and the police helicopter.
Residents also saw the National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter above the town and also hovering above Tesco in Hookwood.
