A HEROIC pet dog rescued its owner after she was pushed to the ground and attacked in the middle of the night in Tilgate.
The 49-year-old woman was walking her two dogs on the footpath leading from Winchester Road towards the K2 leisure centre at about 11.50pm on Saturday when her hair was grabbed from behind and she was shoved to the floor.
While struggling to fight off the male attacker the victim's pet German Shepherd, Sade, heard her screams for help and rushed to her aid.
