Nearly 300 skin lightening products with a banned chemical compound in them which is linked to cancer have been sized at Gatwick Airport.The consignment of approximately 280 cosmetic products, believed to contain banned substance hydroquinone, were seized by West Sussex Trading Standards and UK Border Force.The products, which had expected retail values of between £5 and £20, had been smuggled onto a flight from Africa as hand luggage.
