A MAN who swallowed about 40 packages of high purity cocaine in an attempt to smuggle it through Gatwick Airport has been jailed.
Solizama Tcha-Gouni was sentenced to more than three years in prison for trying to bring 700 grams of the class A drug into the UK after getting off a flight from Barbados.
The 50-year-old, from Lamen Road in New Parks, Leicester, was arrested by Border Force officers at the airport on January 19.
Officers did not find any cocaine in his bags but a swab on his shoes...
