POLICE have stopped a car tonight where a two-year-old child was found on its mum's lap in the front passenger seat - despite a child seat sitting empty in the back of the car.
The incident was revealed on the Twitter page of the Sussex Central Road Policing Unit.
At about 8.30pm a Tweet from the account revealed: "Car stopped in Crawley with a 2yr old sitting, unsecured, on Mum's lap in the front seat. Child seat empty in rear. The mind boggles."
