POLICE have arrested a 43-year-old after a man was stabbed in the chest last night (Wednesday) in Ifield.
The victim, who was found in a doorway, is in a stable condition in hospital.
Police were called to Langley Lane at 11.15pm.
An air ambulance was called but paramedics took the 41-year-old by road to Royal Sussex County Hospital.
The 43-year-old man, who is known to the victim, has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
He is currently in custody.
