An attempted burglary in Henshaw Close, in Bewbush, on Sunday had to be abandoned by the thieves - after they accidentally rang the door bell of the house they were trying to break into.
A resident, who had been asleep at the time, woke up when they bell rang, at about 3.30am.
He didn't go down to check who was there, due to the time, but later that morning discovered someone had tried to force open the front door.
