POLICE have launched an appeal for help in finding a violent robber who was jailed for shooting a man in a racially motivated attack and threatened a group of people with a gun while posing as a police officer.
Peter Mahoney has gone missing from Ford Prison, in Sussex, and Sussex Police is urging the public not to approach him but immediately call the emergency services.
