JOAO ESTEVES, the Portuguese man allegedly murdered by Daniel Palmer in Three Bridges, had schizophrenia, a court has heard.
Mr Esteves, 45, arrived at Gatwick Airport on a flight from Lisbon, where he lived with his elderly mother, at about 9.30am on January 15.
He came to the UK in search of work but four days later was found in an alleyway between Stephenson Way and Haslett Avenue East with a serious head injury.
He died later that day (January 19) in hospital.
