THE MAN assaulted in a Broadfield alleyway just before 3pm yesterday (July 30) suffered cuts to his hand, upper arm and chest, it has been confirmed this morning.
The 20-year-old sustained a serious injury to his hand in the incident behind the shops at Broadfield Barton.
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service has confirmed that the man suffered a "large cut" to his hand.
One ambulance attended the scene and took the man to East Surrey Hospital, having also suffered cuts...
