A MAN will face trial accused of attacking his mother's new partner.Jamie Ansell, 36, appeared at Crawley Magistrates' Court last Wednesday to answer a charge of assault by beating.On June 22 he is alleged to have assaulted a man at a flat in Cherry Meadows, Southgate.Ansell, from Corby Close in Bewbush, pleaded not guilty.The court was told that an argument occurred between the defendant and his mother's new partner.
