A MAN aged 53 has been charged with sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.Thomas Johns faced a charge of assaulting a girl under 13 by penetration when he appeared at Crawley Magistrates' Court last Wednesday. Johns, from Treyford Close, Ifield, did not enter a plea.He is accused of carrying out the assault between September 18, 2005 and September 17, 2006, when he would have been in his 40s.
