A MAN has suffered a fit in the back of a police van today (Monday) after being arrested.
Firefighters were called in to assist police at around 2pm.
A fire crew travelled to the scene of the incident, on the A23 outside Ifield Community College, in one fire engine.
A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said that the man had been arrested shortly before the police van was forced to stop on the A23 because he had suffered a fit.
