POLICE have released video footage showing an extraordinary chase through the streets of Crawley - in which a lunatic driver reached a top speed of 118mph.
Driver Colin Pollard refused to stop for officers during the lengthy chase.
At 3.45am on December 7 officers in a marked patrol car signalled for Pollard to stop after they saw him driving a silver Renault Laguna in Northgate Avenue.

THE VICTIM of an assault was rushed to hospital in the early hours of today (Wednesday).
Paramedics in the air ambulance's road vehicle were sent out to treat the adult male at 3.22am.
The man was taken to East Surrey Hospital by South East Coast Ambulance Service suffering from head, upper arm and hand injuries .
At this time it is unclear where the assault happened in Crawley.

BURGLARS have struck at two homes in Pound Hill over the last week.
A burglar smashed a rear patio door to gain entry to a property on Grattons Drive.
