A YOUNG Copthorne man has been found guilty of stealing a another man's mobile phone. Spencer West denied committing the offence, involving a Samsung phone, at The Green in Copthorne on September 19 last year. But the 20-year-old, from Haywards Heath, was found guilty following a trial at Horsham Magistrates' Court on June 18. He was sentenced to a 12-month community order, during which time he must carry out 40 hours of unpaid work. He was ordered to pay costs totalling £560.
