A PILOT who was due to fly to Gatwick was arrested on suspicion of being drunk before he got into the cockpit.
The 48-year-old, from Crediton, Devon, was arrested on suspicion of being over the limit to carry out an ancillary function, namely being prepared to fly.
He was preparing to pilot a Flybe plane from Newquay to Gatwick just before 9am yesterday (Wednesday).
He has been bailed until December 8, when he will need to report to Newquay Police Station.
