A MAN has been caught stealing food and clothing worth more than £1,000 from Marks & Spencer.
John Denney appeared at Crawley Magistrates' Court on January 14, to answer a charge of theft.
The 52-year-old pleaded guilty.
On December 13 he stole various food items and clothing, to the value of £1,021.72, from Marks & Spencer, in Queensway.
Magistrates gave Denney, from Dudeney Lodge, in Upper Hollingdean Road, Brighton, an 18-month conditional discharge.
