AN elderly woman in Furnace Green has been scammed out of more than £3,500 after being tricked into handing over bank cards in a phone scam where a fraudster pretended to be a police officer.The 85-year-old, who lives in Epsom Road, received a call last night (Thursday, February 26) and was coerced into giving her bank cards to a courier.
