A CATHOLIC priest who lives in Pease Pottage has been convicted for the sexual abuse of a child more than 30 years ago.
Father Anthony McSweeney, 68, from Old Brighton Road North, was found guilty today (Friday) at Southwark Crown Court of an offence committed during his time working at Grafton Close children's home in Hanworth, south west London.
The offence relates to one male victim, aged under 16 when it took place.
