A FORMER British boxing champion who runs a scaffolding firm has had to lay off one of his staff after being hit with a hefty fine for putting workers at risk.
The Crawley News reported on Monday that Michael Alldis, trading as Southern Tube Scaffold, was prosecuted after workers were deemed to have been at risk of falling from height during refurbishment work at a property in Winchester, in Hampshire.
