POLICE are investigating an arson attack on Tilgate Playing Fields.
One crew from Crawley Fire Station was called to tackle the blaze on Saturday, May 7 at 8.13pm that destroyed 10 square foot of the playing field near Tilgate Drive.
A single hose reel was used by firefighters who were on scene for less than 15 minutes.
A spokeswoman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue confirmed that they believe the fire was started deliberately.She said: "One appliance from Crawley was in attendance...
