A MUSIC teacher from East Grinstead has been convicted of sexually assaulting a young boy during a piano lesson.
John Gowers, a talented jazz musician, originally denied two offences involving the nine-year-old at a school in Lewisham, but was found guilty following a trial at Woolwich Crown Court yesterday (Monday).
Before the trial he admitted possessing a number of child porn images and was subsequently signed onto the sex offenders register.
