A MAN who is in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by cars on the M23 today (February 9) had been pursued by police.
The 19-year-old man was airlifted to the Royal London Free Hospital in Whitechapel after the collision on the northbound carriageway at 11.49am.
Prior to the collision, a vehicle the man had been travelling in had been briefly pursued by police in Moat Road, East Grinstead.
This vehicle had allegedly been taken without the owner's consent.
