A MAN seriously injured after being hit by cars on the M23 remains in a critical condition in hospital.
The 19-year-old from Crawley Down was airlifted to the Royal London Free Hospital in Whitechapel after the collision in the northbound carriageway at 11.49am yesterday (Sunday).
He had been attempting to run across the motorway at the time.
