SUSSEX Police have arrested a man on suspicion of murder following reports of a disturbance in a flat on Friday. Emergency services were called at 1.35pm to Sutherland Avenue, Bexhill, after receiving a report of a stabbing. A 20-year-old woman sadly died at the scene. Police carried out a search of the area for the suspect, who is known to the victim, and arrested a 21-year-old Bexhill man on suspicion of murder. He is currently in custody. A BURGLAR gained access to and searched a home while someone was in the house. A burglar managed to get into a property in Albion Close, in Maidenbower, between 8.15 and 10.30pm last Wednesday. They gained access through an insecure kitchen porch door and while carrying out a search they stole money and a bottle of coke. The occupants' daughter was in the property at the time.

A THIEF has been fined for stealing hundreds of pounds worth of clothes and accessories from TK Maxx.Aaron Smith appeared at Crawley Magistrates' Court on August 12 where he changed his plea to admit a charge of theft.On June 18, 2014, the 23-year-old stole £439.87 stole goods from TK Maxx's Crawley store in Queensway. A CAR was completely destroyed by fire after being torched in Langley Green. On Saturday morning, at about 12.25am, firefighters from Crawley Fire Station were called to Cherry Lane. The crew used two sets of breathing apparatus and one hose reel to tackle the fire. They left the scene at 12.37am but the car could not be saved from being destroyed as it was well alight when they arrived.
